Detect media
- Open the extension on the page containing the video.
- Select Enable media detection and approve site access.
- Start playing the video, then reopen the extension.
- Select a detected item to download it.
If nothing appears
- Reload the page after enabling detection, then play the video again.
- Confirm the browser still grants the extension access to that site.
- Try a direct MP4/WebM file or an unencrypted on-demand HLS or DASH stream.
- For a master playlist with multiple variants, click Download once to reveal the quality picker, choose a stream, then click Download again.
- A stream's subtitles are saved as a WebVTT file next to the video, and the Audio only (.m4a) checkbox saves just the audio track when a stream keeps it in a separate rendition.
- The Audio only (.m4a) checkbox is greyed out when the selected stream keeps audio and video muxed together — there is no separate audio track to save, and no download setting can split one out.
- Remember that YouTube, DRM, encrypted or live streams, and access-control bypassing are not supported.
